Record Label

HedKandi is a uk based record label and a music brand which was established in 1999 by Mark Doyle, specialising in house music. Hed Kandi catalog includes artists albms and various genres of club Compilations.

The name modified spelling of Head Candy reminiscent of the expression eye candy.

in january 2006 HedKandi records where aquired by Ministry of Sound for an undisclosed sum. Since then Mark Doyle and his team created a new record label called, Fierce Angel.

The Leadership of HedKandi was then taken over by Dan Baxter who had previously work for the label and brand, when it was owned by the uk media company the Guardian Media Group.

Im March 2007 HedKandi opened a beach bar in the Egypt Red Sea Coastline resort of Hurghada City. This has added to HedKandi's portfolio by branching into venues.

The HedKandi label has branched out extensively sinces its debut in 1999 and now included's clothing and a fragrance franchise, HedKandi has also partnered with Monarch Airlines to offer flights to Ibiza under FlyKandi , a brand created by the HedKandi Group.

Musically, HedKandi is all about style! The sound has almost become a genre in itself. First and foremost we’re about seriously good club music. To define that more clearly it would be true to describe this as predominantly vocal, soulful house, US garage and glittering disco – always deliciously stylish, of course!

You’d find these on the Disco Kandi and Disco Heaven Album releases. However, there are many other sides to Kandi’s dancefloor so the Album's also cover the darker side of house music with a more electro feel on Twisted Disco, deeper soulful bar and lounge grooves on Nu Cool, the sundrenched sounds of summer on Beach House and true club classics on Back To Love. Hed Kandi cater for avid horizontalists with our seasonally adjusted Serve Chilled and Winter Chill offerings.

Across all of these Album's with unmixed full length versions of all tracks. HedKandi’s Mix Album's are, as the title suggests, however, mixed and provide a snapshot of everything that HedKandi do in one easy to consume package!

Launched in 1999, HedKandi has evolved from humble beginnings as a compilation brand into the global phenomenon it is today. With a catalogue spanning over 60 Album's, a number of artist projects and three UK Top Ten singles and a host of Top 40 hits to date, HedKandi is now a globally respected brand.

Delivering these styles of music with a sense of humour to grown-up clubbers eventually snowballed into HedKandi parties and the first full residency began in London in 2002. The buzz about the most lavishly produced club Events seen in the UK at that time soon spread and the first parties were roadblocked. The popularity of the nights increased exponentially so that residencies started to crop up all over the UK. HedKandi parties now happen in all continents of the Global Events – a true phenomenon.

Then of course there’s HedKandi’s radio empire – currently pumping out six broadcasts of the hottest tracks every week in the UK across the Galaxy network and on MoS radio.
